Privacy Policy

Chronomore (“Chronomore”, “we”, “us”), operated by Rocco DiMauro, is a shared calendar app for couples and small groups. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email privacy@chronomore.com.

Information we collect

Account information

We use Firebase Authentication for sign-in. Depending on how you sign in (email, Apple, or Google), we receive an account identifier and, if you provide it, your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple’s private relay address. We also store your profile photo, if you add one, and your app settings and preferences (such as theme, time format, time zone, quiet hours, and your default group).

Content you create

The things you create and share in Chronomore: events (titles, descriptions, locations, dates, links, categories), groups and their members, reminders, checklists and assignees, polls and votes, journal entries and moods, comments and reactions, RSVPs, event “memories,” private notes-to-self, the private relationship labels and nicknames you set for group members, and any photos you attach (to events, comments, memories, or as a group cover). This is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) so we can provide the shared calendar to you and the people you choose to share with. Because you decide what to write, this content, and the photos you upload, can include personal or sensitive details. We use it only to provide the calendar and the features you use; we never use it to profile you, infer characteristics about you, or for advertising.

Location, maps & weather (optional)

If you set a home location or add a location to an event, we store that place and its coordinates so we can show it on your calendar, estimate drive time for “leave by” alerts, and show a weather forecast for the day. Place search and drive-time estimates use the Google Maps Platform, and weather uses Apple WeatherKit; these requests run through our servers, so no mapping key ships in the app. We do not track your live or background location. We only use the places you choose to enter.

Google Calendar (optional)

If you link a Google account, we request read-only access (calendar.readonly) to display your Google events inside Chronomore. Only if you turn on mirroring do we request limited write access (calendar.app.created) to create a dedicated “Chronomore” calendar in your Google account. We store access tokens securely on our servers to keep your calendar in sync. You can unlink at any time, which stops syncing.

Chronomore’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to provide the calendar-overlay and mirror features you turn on. We do not transfer or sell this data; we do not use it for advertising; we do not allow humans to read it except where you give consent, where it is necessary for security or to fix a problem you report, or where the law requires it; and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Purchases (optional)

Chronomore offers an optional paid subscription. When you buy one, the App Store or Google Play processes your payment. We never receive your card number. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; it receives your purchase information and your Chronomore account identifier so we can unlock the features you’ve paid for.

Diagnostics (optional: on by default, never in development builds)

To find crashes and improve the app, we use Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Firebase Analytics (in-app usage such as which screens you view and core actions you take). These are tagged with your Firebase account identifier (a random ID, not your name or email) to help us debug. You can turn diagnostics off any time in Settings → Data (“Help improve Chronomore”).

Notifications

A device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send reminders and updates.

How we use information

• To provide and sync the shared calendar across the people you share with.
• To show locations, estimate drive times, and display weather for your events.
• To send reminders and notifications you’ve set up.
• To keep your Google Calendar in sync, if you’ve linked it.
• To create and serve public event pages when you choose to share a link.
• To process your subscription and unlock paid features.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app, if diagnostics are on.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the service, and to comply with the law.

What we do not do

We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use App Tracking Transparency tracking. We show no ads. We do not sell or “share” your personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under U.S. privacy laws, and we do not share it with data brokers. Our service providers (below) process data only to run Chronomore on our behalf, which is not a sale.

How information is shared

• With people you share with: content you add to a shared group is visible to that group’s members. Items you mark private are shown only to you in the app.
• With anyone you give a public link to: if you create a public event link, people with the link can see the event details you shared, download a calendar file, and submit an RSVP (a name and status they type). Revoking a link stops new views but can’t recall what was already seen, downloaded, or imported; we use a visitor’s IP address only to limit abuse. When you submit a guest RSVP, a small identifier is stored in your own browser (not a cookie, and never shared) only so your RSVP updates instead of duplicating. If you submitted a guest RSVP and want your name removed, email privacy@chronomore.com or ask the person who shared the link to revoke it.
• Service providers: Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics, Hosting) and the Google Calendar API; the Google Maps Platform (place search and drive-time); Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and WeatherKit); and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers process data on our behalf.
• Legal: we may disclose information if required by law.

Do Not Track

Chronomore does not track users across third-party websites or apps, so we do not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals, as there is no cross-site tracking to turn off. We do not let third parties collect personal information across websites or apps through Chronomore.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising them. Chronomore does not sell or share your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any right, or simply to get a copy of or delete your data, use the in-app export and delete tools, or email privacy@chronomore.com.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleted events go to a Trash you can restore from for 30 days before they’re removed. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. See Delete your account. When you do, content you added to a shared group may remain visible to that group’s other members so their calendar isn’t broken, and ownership of a shared group passes to a remaining member. Unlinking Google Calendar stops syncing. Diagnostics data is tied to your account identifier. Routine backups and logs may persist for a short period before being overwritten.

Your choices

• Turn diagnostics on or off in Settings → Data.
• Export a copy of your data from inside the app.
• Unlink Google Calendar at any time.
• Revoke a public event link you created.
• Clear your saved home location.
• Update your profile information.
• Control what is private versus shared.
• Delete your account and data.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

Chronomore is intended for adults and households and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). You must be at least 13 to use Chronomore. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, email privacy@chronomore.com and we’ll delete it.

International users

Chronomore is offered in the United States, and your data is processed on Google’s infrastructure, primarily in the United States.
